Letter from a Guaraní Woman in Search of the land Without Evil  - Savvy Contemporary Berlin. SOMERSET HOUSE - LONDON

Janaína is Queen of the Sea, Goddess of feminine beauty and the great Brazilian mother in African-Brazilian mythology. The poetic imagery of this two screen film installation shows the ceremony during the day and night, as women walk to the sea on the gentle rhythm of the waves, in honor of Iemanja, as Janaina is often known. The striking sound track is designed with unusual elements of percussion played in contact with water. The first showing of this work happened in 2012, July, at Somerset House Cultural Center, London, as part as the Rio Arts Occupation London / London 2012 Cultural Olympiad.

World Indigenous Games took place in Palmas (Tocantins), in October 2015, under strong protests against mega events in Brazil and, above all, the proposed constitutional amendment that transfers the right to demarcate indigenous lands from the executive branch to Brazil's Congress, which is heavily influenced by the powerful big agriculture lobby that has fought against indigenous reserves in the past.
